Former Tribunal Chair receives the Governor General's Award in Visual and Media Arts
In March, 2007, former Tribunal Chairperson and Member of the Order of Canada David P. Silcox became the recipient of the Governor General's Award in the Visual and Media Arts. Mr. Silcox, who chaired the Tribunal from March, 1998, to February, 2006, was honoured for his many years of "indefatigable and passionate"advocacy for the arts.

Chairperson's appearance before the Saskatchewan Legislature's Human Services Committee
On February 26, Acting Chairperson John Moreau appeared before the Saskatchewan Legislature's Human Services Committee to discuss Saskatchewan's proposed status of the artist legislation. Mr. Moreau, accompanied by Acting Executive Director and General Counsel Diane Chartrand, made an oral presentation to the Committee and took questions from them, and submitted a written brief.
